PANDORA Information
PANDORA provides a universe of hand-finished and modern jewelry primarily made from genuine materials, including solid sterling silver and 14k or 18k gold. We use a variety of gemstones, stones and cultured pearls to add sparkle and color to our genuine silver and gold jewelry. These originate from material categories commonly used in the jewelry industry - diamonds, gemstones, organic gems and man-made stones.
As part of our commitment to you, we'd like to provide you with information regarding our products, as well as guidelines on how to clean and maintain your PANDORA products.
The PANDORA System
The PANDORA System
The patented threading system is what makes the PANDORA bracelet
unique (U.S. Pat. No. 7,007,07). Each bracelet is divided into three
sections by small threads. Every charm is equipped with interior
threads. This allows you to twist individual charms onto any bracelet
segment in the order you desire.
To complete the bracelet, two clips are placed over the middle two
threads. The clips are opened by sliding one fingernail into the side
corner of the crease. The clip will gently open. To close the clip,
simply pinch the sides together.
The charms move freely and rotate slightly with your wrists'
movement, creating an undeniable eye-catching effect. If you choose to
add the decorative safety chain, place the swivel cuff onto your
bracelet first. Then arrange charms in the desired order and finish with
the second cuff.
- Be careful when closing bracelets with the barrel clasp. Make sure that the tip of the bracelet is placed in the clasp and that the lock is closed securely.
- Do not force the lock if it doesn’t seem to want to close. Adjust the position of the tip of the bracelet and try again.
- There is a bracelet opener (Product ID: 890000PCZ) available to purchase.
Determining Correct Bracelet Length
Wrap a tape measure tightly around where your wrist is broadest
and add 1.5 inches to the measurement. This will ensure the bracelet is
not too tight, and will allow room for the charms to fit on the
bracelet. Next find the closest bracelet size. Some customers prefer to
roll the bracelet over the hand. When measuring for a bracelet that will
roll across the hand, measure tightly where your hand is the broadest.Necklace Length Chart
Product Information
The Bracelet
The PANDORA bracelet stretches over time as weight (e.g. charms)
is put on the bracelet. The chain, commonly called a snake chain, is
made out of many little rings which are twisted very tightly into the
chain. When buying a new bracelet it should be fairly tight. There
should be no more than a thumb-space between your wrist and the
bracelet.
To preserve the flexibility of the snake-chain bracelet, the charms should be lightly dragged onto it and never forcefully pushed. The bracelet’s clasp should always be opened to put the bracelet on or take it off. Rolling the bracelet over the hand without opening it will put unnecessary strain on it, which may result in damage.
The multi-strand fabric bracelets are wax coated to protect the fibers and provide a stylish finish. The wax coating will disappear over time; this is a result of wear and tear and not considered a defect. When putting charms on the strand bracelet, it is important that you hold onto the sterling silver parts and not the fabric itself in order to prevent it from coming loose from the joint.
The sterling silver bracelets can be filled up with charms while the strand bracelets should be worn with a maximum of nine charms regardless of bracelet length.
The bracelets have been specially developed for the PANDORA ESSENCE COLLECTION and are not meant to be used with Moments charms, nor can the PANDORA ESSENCE COLLECTION charms be used on Moments bracelets.
Oxidation disappears with time. This is considered normal wear and tear and is not a defect.
Things which may cause the oxidation to fade include: perspiration, chlorine, perfumes, cleaning agents, and silver polish. We do not recommend using silver polishing liquid. Oxidized (dark) jewelry does not benefit from being dipped in silver polishing liquid, as it destroys the oxidation.
Cultured Freshwater Pearls
Try to prevent your cultured freshwater pearls from being exposed to water, makeup, creams, chemicals and cleaning agents. Cultured freshwater pearls cannot withstand silver polish. Do not use a silver-polishing cloth as it may dull your pearls. Instead we recommend mild soap mixed with lukewarm water. Use your fingers to gently clean your jewelry. Do not use a brush. Pat dry and lay flat until completely dry.
Enamel
All enamel is Italian made without glass, which makes it more durable.
Leather
Leather is a natural product that will benefit from careful
protection. Do not use in water or other liquids that may cause
discoloration.
Leather can stretch and relax over time; stretching is not a
defect in this product. As a natural feature of genuine leather, you may
notice gentle shading and variations in color. You may also experience a
change in the shade of the leather due to oils in the skin and the
addition of charms to the bracelet or necklace. Use with a maximum of
7–9 charms. When adding charms to the new leather bracelets, please take
care to hold the leather bracelet steady and twist the charm onto the
bracelet. Be careful not to twist the leather part of the bracelet when
adding charms, as the leather may be at risk for being damaged.
Color Cords
Color cords are made of synthetic fibers, which may become damaged or discolored if submerged in water.
PANDORA Jewelry Warranty:
All PANDORA jewelry products are covered by a 1-year warranty covering manufacturing defects.
Warranty Coverage
PANDORA warrants all non-watch products against defects in
materials and workmanship under ordinary consumer use for a period of
ONE (1) YEAR from the date of original retail purchase. PANDORA warrants
watches for a period of THREE (3) YEARS from the date of original
retail purchase. During these warranty periods, if a defect arises in
the product, and you follow the instructions for returning the product,
PANDORA will, at its option, to the extent permitted by law, either (i)
repair the product using new or refurbished parts, at PANDORA’s expense;
(ii) replace the product with a new product that is equivalent to the

the purchase price of the product. PANDORA shall have no obligation to

repair a product that has been used with non-PANDORA products.
Stretching of PANDORA chains and bracelets is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Do not expose your PANDORA products to harsh chemicals or environments.
Silver pieces are given detail by oxidation. Exposure to harsh
chemicals or environments can alter the appearance of your PANDORA
product. These types of chemicals include, but are not limited to,
liquid silver polish, pools, hot tubs, and spas.
This Limited Warranty applies only to products manufactured by PANDORA. This Limited Warranty does not apply to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, misapplication, or use of non-PANDORA products. The crystal, crown, strap and bracelet are excluded from the warranty for watches. Use of batteries other than PANDORA recommended batteries in watches may cause damage. Care & Cleaning Instructions
Care Instructions
We recommend that customers remove jewelry before going to bed or
participating in physical activity. Exposure to certain harsh chemicals
or environments will result in compromising the integrity of your
jewelry. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
perspiration, perfumes, cleaning agents, chlorine, salt water, and
silver polish.
Cleaning Your Jewelry
Pour a small amount of mild soap into lukewarm water and use a
small, soft toothbrush to clean your jewelry. Toothbrushes are ideal for
cleaning jewelry with intricate details, which can otherwise be
difficult to clean. If the dirt is hard to remove, soak the jewelry in
clean water. This particular cleaning method should not be used to clean
jewelry with cultured freshwater pearls (see Cultured Freshwater Pearls
for more details).
A silver-polishing cloth is a great tool to make your sterling
silver jewelry shine again if the pieces have become dull. However, it
will not remove scratches. Silver-polishing cloths may be purchased.
Using a tumbler with the PANDORA ESSENCE COLLECTION and PANDORA Rose™ is not recommended.
Your authorized PANDORA retailer is happy to offer jewelry cleaning services tailored especially for your PANDORA products.
These innovative products deserve special care, so kindly follow
our recommendations to ensure they remain beautiful and lasting
keepsakes of your unforgettable moments.
Maintain the beautiful shine and unique finish by polishing
PANDORA Rose™ products with a soft cloth. Dampen the cloth in lukewarm
water, adding a small amount of mild soap, and rub gently on jewelry.
Rinse with clean water and pat dry with a soft cloth.
If jewelry is particularly dirty, soak for 5 to 10 minutes. Use
of silver polishing liquids, silver dips, ultrasonic cleaning and a
tumbler should be avoided.
PANDORA polishing cloths with cleaning compound are not
recommended for PANDORA Rose™ jewelry. Do not expose the jewelry to
harsh chemicals, perfumes, lotions, and remove jewelry prior to bathing
or swimming.
Please note that the warm pink-hued color may intensify with age due to tarnishing, adding to the jewelry’s beautiful, vintage appeal. It is normal for the finishing to wear off over time. PANDORA’s warranty does not cover this wear and tear.
Cultured freshwater pearls cannot withstand silver polish. Avoid
contact with makeup, creams, chemicals, and cleaning agents.
Storing Your Jewelry
Jewelry should be stored away from natural sunlight and heat, in a
protective (lined) jewelry box or a tarnish-resistant pouch. It can also
be stored in a plastic zip lock bag made of Mylar or polyethylene.
Never use polyvinyl plastic bags, such as trash can liners as they
contain sulfur compounds, or rubber containers which will make sterling
silver tarnish faster and possibly turn black. Do not store your jewelry
in the bathroom.
Please note that our PANDORA white gift boxes are not made for
long-term storage as they are not airtight and tarnishing will occur
over time.
Annual Service Gold and silver are soft metals and become worn with
use. This is true for all genuine jewelry. Depending on the degree of
use, it is recommended that your jewelry be inspected at least once a
year by a goldsmith. In particular, it is important that clasps, mounts,
and soldering are checked.
